Refund policy

When a storage or professional email subscription can be refunded, within what period, and how.

Last updated [DATE]

DraftThese documents are drafted and complete, but the contracting entity is being incorporated and counsel has not signed them off yet. Three points remain explicitly open and are marked in the text: the entity and the governing law, the liability cap in the terms of service, and the identity of the data protection officer.

1.What this policy covers

This policy covers the only two billed resources of the IRON ID Platform: storage paid by capacity beyond the 5 GB included, and professional mailboxes on your own domain.

The core of the platform is free: there is nothing to refund on Workspace, the organization, teams, collaboration, files, sharing, permissions or core security.

2.Fourteen days to change your mind

You have fourteen calendar days from the first payment for a resource to ask for a full refund.

If the resource has not been used during that period, the refund is complete and needs no justification. If it has, the refund is still complete within that first fourteen-day period; we apply no deduction for usage.

3.Beyond fourteen days: pro rata

After the fourteen-day period, a refund request covers the unused part of the current prepaid period, calculated pro rata to the number of days remaining.

The calculation is based on the amount actually paid, excluding taxes already remitted. Earlier periods already consumed are not refundable.

4.How to request a refund

Write to contact@iron-id.io from an address attached to your organization. State your organization's name, the resource concerned, and the invoice reference.

We acknowledge within two business days and confirm the calculated amount before executing the refund.

5.Processing time and method

The refund is made through the original payment channel and in its currency, to the account used for payment, within fourteen days of our confirmation.

Where payment went through a third-party payment provider, the refund follows the original channel and that provider's own processing time adds to ours.

6.What is not refundable

Some services fall outside this policy because they are performed rather than consumed over time:

  • Private or on-premise deployments of the platform: licence, integration, training and maintenance, governed by their own quotation.
  • IRON ID Enterprise products — the KYC SDK and the Sign SDK — whose financial terms are set by the signed quotation.
  • Integration, custom development and training already delivered.
  • Taxes already remitted to the tax authority.

7.Termination, export and proofs

A refund does not delete your data immediately. You keep thirty days to export your documents, proofs and certificates in their open format.

Proofs already produced remain verifiable without IRON ID, including after the commercial relationship ends. That is what the evidence bundle is for: it does not depend on your subscription.
