Fe is where your organization exists: its members, its teams, its roles, its security rules. It is not an application you open every day; it is what every application checks before it does anything.

Who is this account, which organization does it belong to, what may it do. Authentication and authorization, every day, on every product.

Not identity verification

Checking that a person is who they claim to be in the real world (identity documents, registers) is a different job. It is not part of Fe and not part of the Platform.

Fe is free, like the rest of the Platform. You pay only for storage beyond 5 GB and for professional mailboxes.

Questions buyers ask first.

Is Fe a product we buy?

No. Fe is the free core of the Platform. You create your organization in it; every other IRON ID product uses its accounts, teams and roles.

Can we use our own identity provider?

Not at launch. Fe manages accounts, MFA and sessions itself; federation is not claimed until it is built.

What is recorded?

Sign ins, MFA, sessions, devices, role changes and every permission decision, in the same tamper evident audit log as the rest of the family.

Where is it hosted?

With the rest of the Platform: in France for customers in France and the European Union; elsewhere according to demand, or on your own infrastructure.
